Parent Teacher Association PTA activities are organised by a Committee of volunteer parents and elected school staff representatives. The Committee meets every 4 - 6 weeks, depending on activities, in the school staff room. An AGM is held every year in September when the Committee officers are elected. The PTA organise events to raise money to purchase equipment, goods or projects for the school that they may not be able to fund themselves or require extra funding. Examples of purchases are books, I.T. equipment (hardware and software), playground equipment, math sets and a camera. Organised events include Bingo nights, Game Shows, and a Barbecue. PTA events are listed in the Hardwick Village Diary as well as posters around the village and in the Hardwick Happenings. A major contributor to PTA funds is the 500 Club, which is a monthly lottery with prizes of £45.00, £25.00, £15.00, £10.00 and £5.00. Numbers for the 500 Club may be purchased from Sharon McMahon (212256). The PTA also runs a uniform shop. The PTA has a professional quality PA system available for hire. The PTA are always on the lookout for new committee members, especially dads, or even parents that are willing to add their names to a helpers rota.
